Role Description

Rocketship.vc is a Global Quant Venture Capital firm. We have the most comprehensive and freshest database of global startup activity. Using sophisticated AI/Machine Learning algorithms, we identify and invest in global winners at an early stage (Series A/B).

We have a uniquely qualified team with an impressive two-decade track record in Venture Investing and Data Science. Our investing partners' accomplishments include: investing in the Series A round of Facebook and Lyft; running a top 5% venture fund with Jeff Bezos as the largest investor; writing the leading academic textbook on Data Mining; and founding 3 data science startups whose total exit value tops $1B.

At Rocketship, you will be part of the team that builds the investment analytics platform, collects and processes startup data and develops and evaluates ML models to identify investment candidates. You will also get to participate in the investment process, communicate with entrepreneurs of the candidate companies and be a part of the investment decision. You will also get a birds-eye view of the global startup ecosystem.

About Rocketship.vc

We love data. We even wrote the book on loving data. And we run our business, just the way you do yours — with data. We have data on over ten million companies all over the world. We use smart algorithms to identify and invest in global winners.

After investing, we continue to track your data, compare it with your competition and the market and feed our insights back to you. Many of our companies are outside silicon valley, we act as their bridge to the valley. You can also benefit from experience of our partners — from sharing an office at Stanford with Sergey Brin, working for Jeff Bezos, to investing in Mark Zuckerberg in 2005. Seriously though, we have created and scaled startups worth $1B at exit, and were instrumental in creating Amazon.com's marketplace, mechanical turk, and @walmartlabs.
