    We are transforming how content and media are created. For decades, media creation has relied on incremental iterations of the same old tools. And while some of those tools have become smarter in recent years, they're still very much rooted in an outdated paradigm. We've been stuck with the same old Creative Suite for way too long. Artificial intelligence will not just bring automation at every scale, but a significant change in how we create.

  • Generous Vacation

    Every employee at Runway has unlimited PTO. However, we think it's important to make sure people take advantage of this benefit and so we are strongly recommending employees take a minimum of 10 business days off per annum on top of the company-observed holidays.

    Additionally, Runway gives the entire company two periods off: 1) from mid-day Wednesday the day before Thanksgiving through the weekend, and 2) the week between Christmas Eve and New Years.

  • Maternal/Paternal Leave

    Runway offers 12 weeks of fully-paid Parental Leave for every employee who joins the company. An additional 2 weeks of paid transition will also be included (2 days back in the office/working for the 13th week and 3 days back in the office/working for the 14th week).

    The Runway Parental Leave policy covers any process by which a child is welcomed into a family, whether that be through natural birth, surrogacy, adoption, foster care, or other.

  • Flexible Hours

    As a small team we operate on trust and ownership. So you are trusted to manage your own working hours. We don't believe in squeezing creativity into set hours and understand that everyone must find their own work-life balance so that you are productive and happy both at work and outside of work. Take the time you need to tend to your personal commitments such as family, important events, and your health and wellbeing. Of course, when you are unavailable, inform those who might be depending on your availability, and ensure that your responsibilities are covered.

    We do ask that all full-time employees attend monthly All-Hands meetings, and for those unable to make our Monday/Friday standups, that you watch the recordings and contribute to those meetings async whether that be through a pre-recorded Loom video or through a Slack update.

    As a company built by creatives for creatives, we understand that Runway can only be as successful as our own community. This idea loosely coupled with the devastating macro-environment caused by the on-going global pandemic has helped us realized that we must do more to support our community. To this end, we are making quarterly monetary contributions to local causes, businesses, projects, and/or individuals that are aligned with Runway's vision for democratized creation. Each quarter the employees of Runway will collectively decide upon the beneficiary of the donation.
