We're building an Internet of Things (IoT) platform that makes it easy for companies to deploy a complete sensor solution in minutes.
Our primary initial use case has been fleet management. For example, we work with a company delivering hundreds of thousands of school lunches across the country. They have wireless temperate monitors in the back of the trucks to check everything is being refrigerated and can use our platform to easily see instant analytics.

We have real paying customers who love our solution — In San Fransico, we've been deployed by Bowers who run corporate shuttle services for companies including Google. We've also been deployed with the San Jose Water district, who signed a large contract, to use our solution for monitoring all remote pump stations.
Engineering at Samsara
We're working on two big scaling challenges right now:
- Dealing with a number of sensor devices and data processing.
- Making large customer deployments and building what we need to make those successful.
At Samsara you'll get an opportunity to work on everything from the low level challenges of working with the devices and e.g. deploying 200 dashcams and making video uploads automatically, up to the UI challenges of visualizing the data in an effective way for our customers.
On the application side, our engineering teams are prototyping things very quickly, which gives you lots of opportunities to take ownership and have real product impact.
