Role Description

Position Description

We are looking for a highly skilled, talented Site Reliability Engineer to help define and implement the end-to-end deployment process from when code is committed to when it is deployed to production. This person will also be responsible for ensuring uptime of deployed systems, setting up automation and monitoring, where possible, to track the health of systems and to ensure the appropriate people are notified of issues, and to help resolve issues when appropriate.

They will report to the Senior Vice President of Technology and will work closely with several engineering teams within the organization.


Monitor the health of production systems and create automated alerts for outages or degraded performance Create a streamlined CI/CD pipeline to enable frequent high-quality releases Automate processes, where possible, to ensure reliability and repeatability Actively drive performance optimizations and process improvements to ensure efficient delivery of high-quality code to production Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar degree and at least 5 years of professional experience in a similar role or 9 years of professional experience in a similar role Understanding of software engineering fundamentals Experience with QA automation: unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, etc. Experience building and deploying Docker images to a cloud-hosted Kubernetes cluster Preferred Skills and Abilities

Experience with the Atlassian suite of products, Microsoft Azure, CircleCI, Kubernetes tools, and logging/monitoring tools Experience with other deployment tools such as Helm and Terraform Experience in a similar role supporting a mission-critical service
