We are open to almost all technology if it helps us accomplish our goals and we currently make heavy use of AWS, Python, and Docker.

Our engineering team works on large projects driven by project specific releases and on a semi-weekly release cycle. Most things fall into regular cycle but there are few large projects that drive their own timeline as they launch. There are regular stand-up meetings for check-ins and a very open environment with the researchers using the software.
We're building machines that need to scale dynamically to research demand. We're ingesting and indexing large amounts of data. We're dealing with problems that are NP Hard and need good fast heuristic approximations.
Build a parsing engine to ingest structured or unstructured data.
Building a self-adjusting trading engine to change its behavior dynamically throughout its use.
Building visualization tools to understand results of experiments with large outputs.
