We're a small engineering team that believes in using the right tool for the job, and in building tool supported workflows to give every engineer leverage and keep our team small and nimble. We think strong engineers can quickly learn new languages and technologies so we bias towards generalists over specialists.

Each engineer has broad responsibility across the stack for the features they own, both in terms of architecture and usability. We look for engineers who are excited about engaging with customer feedback to develop user empathy and take initiative to improve the customer experience.

Prioritization of larger projects takes place across the entire team in a collaborative discussion with the business and customer teams. Engineers cost features and set the milestones and deadlines for the projects they will own.

We use Github to manage code reviews and TravisCI along with a robust suite of tests to deploy to production multiple times a day. We believe shipping is an important feature.

Our current stack uses Java on the backend and React with Typescript on the frontend. We think the benefit of types in large codebases helps prevent technical debt and encourages well thought through abstractions.

We're building a real-time auction system that manages the allocation of real world items and real world spaces. This is a hard, messy challenge at the intersection of mechanism design and computer vision.

We're also building a delightful consumer experience that helps homeowners generate extra income and needs to be simple, fast, intuitive, and blend online and offline actions into a trustworthy service.
