SHONE is a venture-backed startup building a mobile video-first fashion e-commerce experience. We combine entertainment with shopping through our unique, two-way interactive styling experience. Users can browse products and looks, and play stylist by suggesting new looks. We share the outfits you suggest with our influencer pool and they will model top looks over video, featured in our virtual interactive periodical called The Issue. Users will vote on top looks and top stylists get to influence the influencer, earn recognition for their taste, win free outfits, and more.
We believe shopping should be a dialogue between customers, designers and tastemakers. We are starting with the simple concept of social styling + shopping, and we see tremendous potential in this market alone. The Issue will deliver a superior way to engage and consume.

Engineering at Shone Live Co.
Our engineering team is highly async. We have a daily scrum meeting where we discuss and delegate tasks, and have ongoing chat in our engineering threads. We use a sprint based model and assign ownership based on features. That means you'll be responsible for backend code, React Native UI, and web UI as applicable to your feature.
Our live video shows are a highly concurrent event that depends on fast, responsive, and scalable systems in order to achieve.
Build the signup/login and new user educational experience in our React Native mobile app, a responsive native UX across multiple mobile device platforms. Integrate with Twilio API on the backend to send SMS verification code.
Set up the CI pipeline so that we can detect build errors prior to merging git PRs.
Build the product catalog schema and the web admin panel to create and edit the product catalog of items available for styling and sale on the app.
