Role Description

All things backend. You'll be one of the founding members of our engineering team and play a critical part in making foundational technical decisions, establishing team processes and norms, and deciding how the company grows. Day-to-day, you'll be collaborating closely with the CEO, customers, and colleagues to build the platform MVP. We're confident in the direction (and have heaps of eager breweries telling us to hurry) - now we have the chance to bring something to life at an accelerated rate. If you'd like to look at the past year and be proud of how much you've accomplished for our customers, this is the right place.

To that end, we're looking for experienced, high-productivity engineers who want to work on a fast-moving, high-impact, and collaborative team. Although we like to keep things organized and professional, the ideal engineer has tolerance for a less-structured environment, where wearing many hats and flexing processes will be required to succeed.

Specific knowledge of our stack is not required; We'll provide an environment for you to excel and Joe (CTO) will help get you up to speed.

On the technical side, we're looking for:

  • SQL knowledge (any dialect), data modeling in a relational database, and experience operating a database.
  • You've picked up a handful of programming languages.
  • Strong working knowledge of the HTTP request/response flow for a web API.
  • Comfortable working across the stack to get code into production. Joe considers code to have negative value until it's in production helping breweries.
