We’re a game development team based in Los Angeles, dedicated to the idea that online games can deliver deeper, more meaningful experiences.
With our first project, we’re exploring new styles of game design and tackling difficult technical problems to create a game that’s beautiful and intricate, delivering far more than superficial entertainment or basic wish fulfillment, an experience that becomes a meaningful part of your life. Our vision is to create a compelling virtual universe filled with rich and diverse gameplay experiences and social interactions that will keep you playing for years, evolving along with you and the rest of the community.. We want our players to feel valued as well as a true sense of belonging.
Sounds ambitious? We think so, too. If you’re interested in the challenge of building a new genre, in making rewarding interactive & community experiences filled with amazing art and world class technology to support this living world, join us on the journey.
You'll be joining a prototyping team of AAA vets/leaders from Activision Blizzard, Riot Games, and Zynga who have worked on titles like Destiny, League of Legends, and Words with Friends.
We're creating a genre defining social simulation game. These titles are huge influences for us: The Sims, Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, and Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
We're funded by London Venture Partners, the premier early stage gaming VC firm. LVP has been among the earliest investors in Supercell, Unity, Playfish, NaturalMotion, and a host of other amazing games companies that have created over $13 billion in value.
Scrum-based development methodology - standard sprint cycle with planning, review, retro and daily stand-ups. The team works towards collective goals each sprint, and individuals are empowered with autonomy in their own domain (we are a small team, so everyone has a ton of responsibility). Git based source control. Automated builds. Weekly playtests.
We're building a massively multiplayer online game that can scale to millions of concurrent players.
You’ll implement new gameplay features (such as a creature AI system), design and create gameplay tools, and be a core member of a prototyping team that includes designers, artists, and engineers.
We love self-starters who have a startup mindset: hungry, scrappy, versatile, and industrious. We value team players who put player experience first, and validate their decisions from the player perspective because we're all gamers too.
