Engineering team and processes

Engineering is distributed on three continents. Currently there are physical offices in LA and an upcoming one in Seattle. We use slack heavily and favor written communication. We use Git, PRs, CI / CD systems, staging and production systems to manage what gets deployed when. The sprint schedule is two weeks and engineers have a high level of autonomy to get things done.

Technical Challenges

Scaling IoT with different access patterns. Scaling machine learning on video streams. Distilling complicated pipeline semantics into our web dashboard.

Projects you might work on
  • Deploy cluster of GPU enabled tensorflow nodes on kubernetes to handle hundreds of concurrent video streams with an inference rate of 1 frame per second.

  • Build an RNN with input data from a CNN based pose detection model for activity classification on time series data (walking, running, sitting, standing, etc.).
