Engineering at Slab Inc
We plan the company's general direction quarterly. All team member participates in this process, and each owns an area. Every other week we plan our tasks together. Our bi-weekly retrospective meeting provides the stage for discussing technical decisions.
Slab delivers a simple to use, easy to understand yet flexible and powerful product to the user. Much of the complexity is encapsulated in engineering and never exposed to our user.
Maintain and enhance a WYSIWYG real-time collaborative editor that allows embeds, mentions, and complicated formatting.
Design and build a flexible, secure yet easy to understand permission system to help users protect their privileged documents.
Centralized search results from other tools where team knowledge could reside.
Design an implement a simple API to integrate with other team productivity tools to provide link unfurling, content embeds, and mentions.
