Role Description

Stadium Goods’ Senior Front-end Engineer will report to the CTO, and will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable front-end architecture for SG.com and related web properties.

Responsibilities:

Partner with engineering leadership to steer technical decisions about infrastructure and architecture Work alongside partners in Engineering, Product, and QA to solve technical and product problems Build efficient and reusable front-end systems and abstractions Identify and resolve performance issues Define the best implementation method and related effort to answer a given problem Lead feature development with 1-2 more collaborators Identify and drive code improvements, including technical debt Author feature-specific design docs as needed Mentor others and proactively identify opportunities to improve cohesion and capabilities of the team Ability to make appropriate trade-offs in engineering to meet deadlines and keep shipping products that delight our customers Supporting front-end development efforts against current system stacks while helping design the future of Stadium Goods front-end architecture REQUIREMENTS Deep knowledge of design patterns and their applications 4+ years of experience in front-end web engineering, preferably in large scale environments Experience writing scalable, highly-performant, and clean code Strong CS fundamentals; demonstrated experience developing web interfaces using HTML/JavaScript/CSS (React or equivalent framework) Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations Experience working in an Agile development environment Experience with front-end build frameworks (gulp, yarn, etc) Expert in Javascript Experience dealing with SEO concerns Experience with e-commerce a plus
