Role Description

At Stadium Goods, we are true team players, creative, resourceful thinkers, and great communicators. We are looking for exceptional engineering talent to join us on our roadmap to architect, engineer, deploy, scale and maintain a whole new generation of marketplace technologies, in addition to supporting our current ecosystem of custom technologies. You will play a significant role in augmenting our organization’s legacy of customer trust and technical pioneering.

This position is based out of New York office and will report to the Chief Technology Officer.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Work alongside current lead React Native developer building and extending our feature set Produce high quality, performant, testable and tested code Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback Address bugs in real-time and refine the system by which they continue to be caught and handled Provide input (scalability, refactoring, etc.) into structure of current React component and state management tree Devise creative solutions in times of urgency Reach out to the open source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes—React Native moves fast and often breaks things REQUIREMENTS Strong working knowledge of modern ECMAScript and TypeScript and/or Flow Strong knowledge of the React lifecycle 2+ years of professional, production-facing cross-platform mobile application development experience with React Native Experience across entire app release cycle, from drafts of wireframes to production-ready code Deployment to multiple environments (staging, production, etc) Must have published apps deployed to and currently available in both the App Store and Google Play Store Nice to have: contributions to and/or active dialogues within the repositories of dependencies essential to apps you have developed Strong knowledge of the differences between iOS and Android in the context of developing with React Native i.e. general best practices, shortcomings, trade-offs, etc. Strong knowledge of Redux and Flux Standard Action principles Working knowledge of redux-thunk Strong knowledge of React Native development tooling Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage Strong knowledge of git and GitHub workflows Experience with automated testing suites, like Jest, Enzyme, Detox Knowledge of GraphQL a plus Experience working in an Agile environment
