Role Description

We are looking for a generalist full-stack engineer (you would be our first eng hire) to take on an incredibly impactful role as Sundae.

As one of Sundae’s first engineer hires, you will work closely with leadership and product to scope and execute on a range of projects. You’ll have a huge hand in shaping both our tech stack and technical roadmap. You will also help shape and promote our engineering culture.

As an early member of this team, you will co-create all the infrastructure and processes with the team. You should also be comfortable evaluating and exploring new technologies and frameworks.

You’ll own projects which can range from improving funnel conversion, to designing database schema to building out our real estate marketplace.

About You: We are tech-agnostic as far as hiring, but it's a bonus if you know any of these: JavaScript as well as modern libraries and tooling (React.js/Redux, Typscript, Webpack, etc) AWS Relational database/Postgres 2-4 years professional experience as a full stack or front end engineer

About Sundae

Sundae’s mission is to help homeowners get the best outcome when it’s time to sell a house that needs some love.

For too long, the process for selling outdated and damaged houses has been terrible for sellers. Local property investors capitalize on homeowner distress to purchase houses cheap and resell them for huge profits.

Sundae is putting more of those profits back in the hands of the homeowner. With scale and efficiency, we're able to redistribute economic value to sellers in the form of the most competitive price so that Sundae can become the largest buyer of homes that need love in the United States.

Company Culture

We foster a positive, collaborative and supportive culture — one where each team member feels empowered to make big and bold decisions. One of our values is “One Team: Winning together.” We also are mission-focused on helping homeowners in distressed properties get an equitable price for their home. In its current state, the distressed real estate industry is inefficient and predatory. We have big ambitions to change that and put power back in the hands of homeowners. We also care about work-life balance and supporting our team.
