Trial datasets may encompass millions of datapoints gathered over decades through an ongoing narrative process between varied end users including data managers, scientists, doctors, regulatory bodies, and the subjects themselves. The system includes audit trails, security and safety features, and custom roles, workflows and reports, much of which is built by configuration.

Engineering at Syntactx Technologies
We are a fairly flat organization consisting of Software Engineers, a Product Manager (with an engineering background), a Customer Success team, and QA. We follow a modified Agile Scrum methodology.
Adaptability - Each trial is different, and each sponsor is different; as an engineer on Syncrony, you must be skilled in understanding the uniqueness of each sponsor's needs and how to deliver a solution on a quick turnaround.
Extensibility - On a platform in the burgeoning MedTech sector, and supporting trials that average longer than 12 years, means developers must be skillful at anticipating both the technological evolutions and stakeholders, end users, and functionalities that arise over time, while always designing and building in a foundational way.
Reliability - This is paramount in a clinical EDC, as captured data drives the future of medical treatment; inaccurate information, lost data, or an unavailable system can mean everything from a difference in treatment to the loss of life.
Scalability - The Syncrony platform captures, manipulates, and serves data to and from hundreds of demanding clients—as a small team, scaling prematurely means spending resources we don't have, so your experience will help ensure our approach to Scalability is both smart and measured.
