We are the makers of the only color, touch-screen insulin pump that is capable of remote feature updates and compatibility with continuous glucose monitoring. Using a personal computer, patients can keep their pump up to date with the latest technology during its warranty period. Engineering at Tandem Diabetes Care
We run 2 week sprints and have dedicated Scrum masters. We have a strong split between backend and frontend teams. The frontend team will have 20 members by the end of this year with 2 managers and 2 architects. We care deeply about testing and code quality, spending about half our time on test implementation and having 2 code reviews for each PR. We are remote first and like to play games together.
Running React Native across Web, iOS, and Android and making sure it feels right on each platform is challenging. Working in a regulatory environment while trying to move fast, also brings some of the most intriguing challenges in terms of software testing you will encounter anywhere.
We are rebuilding our diabetes dashboard from scratch that is used by patients and doctors to help make clinical decisions with unique data visualizations of the data that our insulin pump and attached blood glucose meters collect.
We are rebuilding and expanding our customer portal that is used for training, reordering of supplies, and customer support.
We are working towards integrating these two products into a single touch point for our customers that will also be integrated with our native app.
