Engineering at The Vendry
Our engineering team works in two week sprints allowing all engineers to choose the work that interests them. We encourage test writing and employ a process of continuous integration. For more complex technical challenges we will create a technical design document to outline the approach before writing any code. The team then participates in a design review meeting to provide feedback and iterate on our process.
One of the major challenges we have is automating venue and vendor supply to meet demand. When a customer is looking for something that is missing from the platform we need to source their need, ensure the data is high quality and make sure we can get in contact, all while reducing or eliminating the need for people to intervene.
We frequently get in contact with businesses that have not created accounts on the platform. We are looking to expand our ability to have discussions completely over email that are duplicated in the platform in a way where either side of the conversation cannot tell the chosen method of communication (on or off platform).
