Ticket Evolution is an event ticketing marketplace founded by ticket brokers. We continue to be broker-friendly while also providing a wide variety of innovative products & services to the entire ticketing industry.
Why join us?
Experienced leadership both in team building, product and startups.
We are profitable and have been for the past 6 quarters. Revenue is growing at 40%+ year over year.
Challenging scalability problems, interesting data to analyze, work close to the business and have an impact on company direction.
On any given day our marketplace has over 15 million tickets.
Engineering at Ticket Evolution
We have adopted Agile Scrum and work in 2 week sprints. We strive to become agile not just do Agile. Sprints are a mix of stories/tasks from both product and engineering. We are experimenting with dual track scrum to better align with design. Each engineer chooses to be a primary owner of a part of the code base. They are responsible for creating a vision and roadmap for that area of the code. Deploys are done multiple times per sprint when the code is ready for production.
We are an API first product and thus most of our customers only use our API. We are always striving to build better tools and libraries for our customers and partners to use. On any given day there are over 10 million tickets available on our platform which expire at very specific times. There is a constant stream of new and changing data which has to be processed in real time.
Build customizable web site templates that partners can use to get up to speed quickly to sell tickets. Customization includes skinning to match the look of their current web site. Build and open source tools to help partners build their own fully customized sites.
Scale our data ingestion pipeline to process millions of records in near real time.
Update our API to align with OpenAPI 3.0 standard. Open source client libraries in multiple languages.
Working at Ticket Evolution
We are looking for people who want to be engaged in the business and what we are building. Engineering, product and business should all have a say in what we are building. Bi-weekly company meetings keep everyone up to date on our progress. We have Thirsty Third Thursdays to relax and socialize.
4 weeks vacation.
Around 10AM to around 6PM. Work/life balance is important.
Work from Home
While we love to see people in the office, doctors, pets, deliveries can't be helped. Sometimes one just needs to be home.
