Engineering at Ticketmaster

Engineering team and processes

We are a highly collaborative, agile engineering team. We have daily scrum standups and conduct two week sprints. Our tasks are managed through Jira and we use Gitlab for source control, CI/CD, and code reviews.

Technical Challenges

We have moved to a fully serverless infrastructure on AWS and have therefore architected our apps and functions to be event driven, largely stateless, and asynchronous in nature. We have optimized our code structure, libraries, CI/CD pipelines, and BDD testing to fit our serverless flows and easily scale to meet the demands of our business.

Projects you might work on

Implement a new GraphQL mutation for a new artist-fan interaction, using AWS AppSync with an AWS Lambda resolver.
Develop a Kinesis consumer that processes new orders and updates aggregate customer metrics in DynamoDB.
Construct an end-to-end test using cucumber.js to sign up for a new artist presale and confirm that derivative data metrics are persisted for downstream use.
