Front End Engineer with an interest and skill set in making slick UI's for data visualization.
What You'll Do - Be an integral member of our software team; ship code weekly and work closely with other software engineers to scope features, solve problems, and share expertise - Work cross functionally with product, data science, and bioinformatics teams - Be proud and enjoy what you’re working on - Help deliver a product that users love
About You - 1+ years of front end UI-focused engineering - Have built a product that you are excited about and that people are using - Experience integrating with third party datasets and API's - Strong ability to engage with team members cross-functionaly and in a multi-disciplinary environment - Have experience working with remote teams - Able to diagnose performance and security concerns and enforce best practices - Experience with writing unit and integration test suites, and has an understanding of different testing philosophies. - Comfortable with git workflows, including feature branching and gitflow methodology. - Comfortable working independently to debug on your own - Able to contribute to team growth through constructive code review and self-driven documentation - Skilled with react/redux ecosystem and JS/CSS/HTML
Additional Qualifications - AWS experience, particularly with EC2, ECS, RDS, CloudWatch, Route 53 - Docker experience - Microservice architectures - Experience or an interest in working in a fast-paced, quickly-evolving startup environment - STEM degree, or equivalent background
