Why join us?
We've raised a total of $18.8 million from a collection of world class investors. Our Series A was led by SignalFire, which also led our seed round; Construct Capital and Allen & Company also participated in that round, along with a small group of strategic industry players.
Ecommerce and technology is in our companies DNA. On the business side we have ecommerce veterans, while on the engineering and product side, we have a highly intelligent and curious group or people that have worked on problems ranging from avionics to real-time bidding to embedded software.
Our customers love us and what the platform does for them. We worked with a personal care brand on Amazon Prime Day, helping them double total sales versus the previous Prime Day while increasing profit by 67%.

Our team believes strongly that agility is the key behind delivering successful features to market quickly and with high quality. Each team takes what they need from Agile techniques to create a process that evolves with the team. We don't believe in doggedly sticking to a single proscribed process, but rather iterating for the betterment of the team by selecting processes from multiple methodologies that help the team be agile.
We organize ourselves into horizontal platforms which are skill based as well as working groups (think scrum team) that have representatives from each of our platforms, enabling them to deliver features from data intake through to our web interface. Additionally, each working group has a dedicated Product Manager that works with our engineers on a daily basis to help us deliver high quality value to our end users.
Working groups currently operate on a two week cycle that start on Tuesdays and end on Mondays. Horizontal platform teams meet bi-weekly to talk through larger platform architecture, concerns, and best practices. Our current platforms are Front End, Back End, Data, Data Science, and DevOps. We use JIRA, Confluence, and Coda for organization. Github is our source control provider and we currently host our service on AWS utilizing many products in their stack
Our most interesting challenges revolve around the normalization and classification of large data sets from diverse sources. The lack of uniformity in the data along with the non-normal frequencies force our team to think creatively about how best to humanize the insights for a growing customer base.
Working on the data platform you would have the opportunity to integrate with multiple 3rd party APIs, build a data pipeline capable of aggregating, normalizing, and classifying large data sets, and making data available for down-stream systems that include our API, UI, and ML models.
As an engineer working on the core application, you would have the opportunity to build the primary tool that 1000s of brands use to analyze their business and uncover the actions needed to fuel growth. A major part of this project is humanizing the complexities of ecommerce and using data and insights to tell stories and drive action.
Design, build, and deploy our software stack in AWS for multiple environments and help us move closer to true CI/CD.
Working at Tradeswell, Inc
Our culture centers on trust and communication. We believe in growing a collaborative culture that values constructive feedback and continually being open to growth. Product and engineering are highly distributed so we value individuals who love collaborating with their teammates and embrace effective communication in both written and verbal forms. We believe in protecting people's health and well-being so that everyone can bring their best selves to work each day.
As part of our commitment to an inclusive workplace, we are happy to offer prospective engineers the chance to connect with our engineering employees who come from underrepresented backgrounds. It’s a way to get a better sense of our team and what it might be like to work with us.
If you’re interested in connecting with our team, be sure to bring this up during one of our introductory calls!
Take the time you need to recharge through our flexible time-off policy.
Almost all of us work from home and have our pets with us.
Receive a monthly stipend you can use towards personal growth. That means anything — a gym membership, your pet sitter, books, a meditation routine. Whatever matters most to you.
Parental leave policies for both birthing and non-birthing parents, as well as support programs for parents returning to work.
Within engineering, we center our core hours of overlap and flexible hours outside those times. The core hours are where stand-ups and most synchronous collaboration happens. We then to try leave the rest of the day for heads down, maker time.
Medical, dental, vision, and much more to keep you and your dependents healthy and happy.
We try and have 1 or 2 Gatherings each year where we bring all of engineering and product together in one place. These are currently on hold, but we'll be super excited to start them up as soon as it's safe.
We have a 401k plan. Since we're a Series A company, there is not currently a company contribution to the plan. We expect this to change as we grow.

Support the communities you’re passionate about through our volunteer time off days.
If you do come into our office, we have plenty of healthy snacks to keep you fueled throughout the day. We also provide catered lunches sporadically throughout the month.
Our newly renovated headquarters is located in an old brewery building (Natural Bohemian) in downtown Baltimore. If you choose to visit or work from the office, there is plenty of space to work, have meetings, or just relax with co-workers.
