Trinsic
We're building a standard for establishing trust online. This starts with verifiable identities and expands into credentials of all kinds.
Why join us?
We think we can solve one of the yet-unsolved problems of the internet; proof. How do you prove you're over 18, a graduate of a certain university, or live in a certain voter precinct online? Today you can't. Help us change that.
We raised $1M without trying due to our market size and strong traction. We've now closed $8.5M with investors including founders from Okta, Divvy and others.
We have a happy team. We're all happy and passionate, and therefore people enjoy working at Trinsic.
Engineering at Trinsic
We operate on 2-week sprints. Each engineer is an owner over a certain codebase and is responsible for its success. Engineers have a tremendous amount of influence and autonomy to see their vision come to fruition by working with our CPO, CEO, and designer to prioritize, scope, research, implement, deploy, and document features and improvements to these products. At the end of each sprint is a company-wide demo where you'll share what you delivered & see what others, including marketing, design, strategy, etc are working on. Engineers work together to review eachother's code before merging. We typically deploy to production every 2 weeks.
Here are some things we've worked on before: - Supporting revocation of credentials using blockchain-based cryptographic accumulators & tails files - Managing static rust libraries cross-platform utilizing C#, Xamarin, WASM - Built a more scalable storage plugin to an open source wallet framework - Achieved 99.97% uptime over last 90 days
You'd work on our core platform, taking a feature through the process of - open source spec - open source implementation - wrapper/FFI/integration for .NET - integration into open source framework for .NET - integration into our Azure cloud platform & APIs - maintenance of SDKs in 5 different languages, documentation, samples
Most work will happen at the bottom end of that list. Less on specs and more on implementation in our APIs & frameworks.
Working at Trinsic
We have a diverse engineering team, with architects, careful engineers who value stability, and scrappy engineers who value speed. This diverse approach leads to a healthy balance of priorities and a richness in perspective. We work hard and expect a lot, but are extremely supportive at the same time.

Generous Vacation
No formal policy (some companies call this
unlimited vacation
) with 2 week minimum. At some point in the year we expect you to take at least 5 days in a row to be completely removed from work. With such a small team, and everyone depending on everyone else, we usually need 1 sprint's (2 wk) notice before you take a major vacation.
