We are well funded.
You get the benefit of an early stage, but the confidence of funding. As a seed-stage company, we are already funded by one of the top VCs (still stealth), attacking a very ambitious idea, in one of the largest defined software markets, against a 30 year old (effective) monopoly.

We just brought on our CTO and we are looking for 5 engineers (3 backend/data, 2 front end or full stack). You have the opportunity to help define and build the engineering architecture, process, and culture from the ground up.
Everything from building the data hub, data analytics, and trying to simplify a very complex financial problem to a user in a simple design a customer can use with one thumb on their mobile phone.

We will get to define the company culture together. What I value is low ego, high output problem solving, diverse people, backgrounds and perspectives and being intentional with your time. It is the early days of company building. Getting to know the team is important, and I plan to do regular offsites and activities that will be a mix of presenting what you are working on, insight into the business from the CEOs perspective (fundraising, progress, milestones, etc) and some fun. In the past we have gone wine tasting, gokart racing, on a boat cruise under the Golden Gate bridge, movies, bowling, beach, skiing. I plan to continue to do that in this company.
There are a few company wide meetings that are mandatory - weekly all hands, product demos, and standups. They are known in advance and it is important that everyone attends and engages. Aside from that, as long as you are delivering, it can be from wherever you want, whenever you prefer to work.

The founder is a father of 2. He values family above all else and is flexible for both leave and flexibility for the unexpected (sick child, etc.) and the intentional (recital, sports game, etc).
