Verkada is a fast-growing startup building enterprise security cameras that combine cutting-edge camera technology with intelligent, omni-platform software and AI. Verkada was founded in 2016 by computer scientists from MIT and Stanford and has recently completed its Series B round of funding at a $540M valuation in April of 2019 led by Meritech and Sequoia Capital.
Revenue is outpacing funding. We have been pleasantly surprised by the reception and adoption of our product in the market. Our Series A last year was for 15 Million and our Series B this year was for 40 Million and gave us a valuation of 540 Million.

All founders have started successful companies in the past. Our Chairman was one of the original founders of Meraki which was acquired by Cisco.

Our engineering team works cross functionally in pod like teams on different projects that last from a week to a quarter. The feature teams work with designers and other engineers to complete the feature to spec. The larger web team meets weekly to discuss estimates for the following week and ends with engineers demoing their work. Jira is used for our task management and Github is our VCS.
