Visor is a consumer focused FinTech startup building an online personal tax advisory product. Our clients get a dedicated tax advisor that guides them through complicated tax situations and advises in making optimal financial decisions throughout the year (such as buying a home or selling stock).
We analyze client’s financial data, identifying trends and patterns and combine it with tax expert knowledge. Unlike TurboTax, Visor is a comprehensive tool that not only helps users file their taxes, but actually provides advice and guidance throughout the year on our user's financial portfolio.

Engineering at Visor
Our engineering team is structured around our customers' needs! We have two primary areas of focus: Customers and tax ops (we have a team of tax pros on staff). We are operate on a weekly sprint model and aim to release new features on a daily basis.
1) Discover human behavior trends by analyzing large amounts of financial data 2) Develop the best ways to communicate financial insights to users 3) Deal with NLP in hard domain 4) Writing Decision Support Systems, Rule Engines and Human Augmented machine learning platforms
Designing state machines and work flows. High through-put rule engines. Computer vision / document recognition and extraction. Intuitive and efficient user experiences.
