We're growing our team and looking to recruit a Backend Engineer with real-world experience who shares our world-changing vision and thrives in a fast-pace and result-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining the core framework and machine learning technologies that powered our next gen social platform
• Manage and maintain backend systems and cloud-hosted infrastructure
• Implement and update APIs for frontend developers
• Work with stakeholders to clarify functional flows and provide technical insights on optimization
• Rapidly build and iterate based on stakeholder feedback and business objectives
• Help build a world-class team with your expertise, enthusiasm and contribution

Desired Skills and Experience

• 5+ years backend software development, preferably for social networking or social media platforms
• Experience of developing and maintaining a complete backend service.
• Expertise in prevailing programming languages and models, e.g. java, node.js, noSQL.
• Knowledge in data mining and machine learning algorithms
• Expertise in design for availability, scalability, reliability and performance
• Experience working in cross-functional teams under an Agile environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, other applicable focus, or r equivalent practical experience.

Bonus Points

• Professional experience working with or developing recommender systems
