Engineering at Warmly
Our Engineering team operates on a two-week sprint cycle for product development. Our CTO recently built a fantastic process that keeps the entire Engineering team aligned on deliverables, flexibility in the case of material information, and collaborative outlets to share ideas and suggestions.
We've recently pitched to the Head of Product at Zoom and got approved for a partnership with Zoom (the video conference tool) and are building out a people network product from ground up. You get the creative joys of building out huge features from scratch at our early stage startup, while having awesome eng teammates who know good infra and eng practices. Our engineers get to hop in with sessions with users, work closely with the product and design team, and are an integral driver in our product direction.
Learn about what it’s like to create and build a startup — founders share learnings every week as we go through all the trials and tribulations of growing a successful business from the ground up.
Architect and scale our backend system to support increasingly large sync events for calendar data and people data, and our growing core product functionality.
Build many core features from scratch, all around helping people connect with each other over video chat in this remote work world. We're happy to let you focus on UI or focus on backend, or give you the opportunity to learn both and do fullstack.
Working at Warmly
Here at Warmly, we built the company with a warm culture in mind. We’ve created an environment where engineers have a voice in the company, talk with customers, and are a major driver in our product direction.
Our culture is infused with authenticity and warmth (we’re called Warmly after all 😊) Work takes up over half of your awake time, so why not make it fun, fulfilling, and impactful?
We are very intentionally about building a diverse workforce. In fact, 50% of our founding team is female and we actively seek candidates from from underrepresented groups to continue building a diverse talent network.
As part of our commitment to an inclusive workplace, we are happy to offer prospective engineers the chance to connect with our engineering employees who come from underrepresented backgrounds. It’s a way to get a better sense of our team and what it might be like to work with us.
If you’re interested in connecting with our team, be sure to bring this up during one of our introductory calls!
We have regular team bonding sessions and all sorts of creative activities to help us connect virtually.
Prioritizes diversity in hiring
Social impact driven
Warmly is a Pledge 1% company where 1% of the amount returned in a liquidity event will be distributed to community organizations for societal good.
Work from Home
Two of our four cofounders are women and our CTO is a woman. We're proud to keep a focus on diversity, gender equality, and inclusion in our workplace!
We encourage employees to highlight external events to continue their development and offer employer stipends to support that initiative.
Most of us work within normal working hours but since our team is spread across the country, we're fairly flexible on exact start and end times for the day. We trust our employees to complete their work and care much more about output than time spent.
