Our engineering team is responsible for building a high performance, reliable Machine Learning platform that can run anywhere. process large amounts of data quickly, and provide our users with a seamless experience for training Machine Learning models. Our goal is to provide a powerful platform to train and test Machine Learning models by both Data Scientists and operational users alike. We are trying to make it simple and fast to train high-quality models to perform valuable tasks, focusing on the

SWEs who join us can expect to work with an extremely interesting technology stack (ClojureScript/Rust), touch exotic environments (our first installation was on a government supercomputer), and solve deep pains for our users across a number of verticals.
Engineering at Watchful
We have a technical CEO and we've focused on hiring senior Software Engineers to create a solid software foundation.
Good ideas can come from anywhere, which is why we make sure every engineer is empowered to and in an environment where they can have their own ideas.
Our CEO, runs the weekly engineering stand ups. We use Clubhouse for project management. Sprints typically last two weeks.
We're a startup so we understand that things change quickly and drastically. We tweak goals, processes and milestones as necessary.
We have to be deployable on-prem, AWS, GCP, Azure, etc. We have to be fast, fault tolerant, and reliable. We have to be able to deal with heterogeneous compute in an efficient way (i.e: task-level device affinity) We have to build representation layers for functions which are intuitive for non-technical users
Optimize our performance everywhere. If you can optimize it and demonstrate that it's faster, we're game.
Build our function generation/creation web interface from scratch. We want this tool to be accessible to everyone, from business analysts to hardcore data scientists.
Build high performance/low latency machine learning model implementations. Each user action should ideally trigger a (limited) re-train of the model set.
