Spacious is a new way to access cities. We believe that access makes cities great. It fosters diversity and creativity and is often what attracts us to cities in the first place. Our first partnership is with the city’s best restaurants. We open the doors to these beautiful spaces in the hours they would normally sit unused, creating space for working and meeting up and just being.- Right now scaling into new cities is our biggest priority.

Why join us?

  • Unique partnerships — Our symbiotic partnership agreement lets us open locations in less than 2 weeks, instead of months or years required for traditional coffee shops or co-working spaces. It also allows us to charge a fraction of a typical co-working hotdesk membership, $95 instead of $400.

  • Building a new category — We're creating a new category that has the productivity of an office and the flexibility and community of a coffee shop, both of which are multi $100bn markets.

  • Tight feedback loop — We work out of our locations. This means we see our customers daily and have a very tight feedback loop. All memberships are all access and as such you're welcome to work out of any location you want, or from home, or while traveling for an extended time. We're flexible and we think work should be too.

  • We believe in our mission — Our mission is to sustain the lifecycle of cities by making more inspiring spaces accessible to everyone.

Engineering at WeWork

Engineering team and processes

Our product team works in 2 week iterations. We start on Monday and have a retro the following Friday where we assess what worked, what didn't and what we'll do next. Most planning happens kanban style and we grab a chunk of work off the top of the list for the next iteration. We perform code reviews across all repos and have CD setup for most repos with automated review and staging servers. Once a project has been prioritized and designed it's put in Clubhouse and then owned by engineering until it goes live.
