We just closed a $13.9m Series A round, and are ahead of revenue goals already in 2020. We have lots of runway : when many startups are cutting back, we are hiring and growing.
There is a no more in-demand solution for the planet right now than telehealth. Wheel can genuinely improve the US healthcare system with better outcomes for patients at lower costs. There is a real opportunity to make a difference in the world.
We are hiring a team of about 6 engineers that can be nimble and build out the foundations of the Wheel telehealth platform. Processes will be centered around strong collaboration and communication with the rest of the company to define goals and solutions. There will be minimal bureaucracy, and a 'light touch' with conventional development
process. We will deliver software to production as iteratively and frequently as possible, employing CI/CD techniques.
We are building out a best-in-class platform for telehealth and have a big vision for how it will grow. This will includes many interesting components :
Algorithms for realtime marketplace matching of supply (clinicians) and demand (consults for patients)
Building intuitive user experiences for patients and clinicians, accessible on many device types
Building analytical insight into how to make telehealth workforces effective, how to improve health outcomes for patients, and allowing clinicians to focus on the most critical patients
ML/AI insights into per-patient and global community health data
Ingesting health 'wearable' data at large scale; potentially 10s of millions of devices
