At Whisper, C# application engineers build the desktop applications that doctors, clinicians, and patients use to interact and configure the Whisper Hearing System. Every hearing aid that someone wears touches your code as it’s the software that defines the Whisper experience to everyday users.
Application engineering code spans front end / UI focused code to design simple and delightful interfaces to application architecture and data model development. This is an end-to-end focused role that is best suited for someone who is end-user and product-focused and wants to have meaningful technical challenges to work on deep within an application.
A track record of shipping quality products to customers Professional experience with C# development using WPF or UWP. At least one additional applications programming language (e.g. Java, C++, Objective-C) and scripting language (e.g Python) 3+ years industry experience working as a software engineer Great communication abilities; able to be successful working within a team and on independent work Experience working in a fast-paced, high-quality engineering teams Must be willing to work onsite in our San Francisco office Desire to work cross-functionally coming up with product solutions BA/BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
Experience working with a hardware device of any kind Experience working with common web backend stacks (e.g. Django, Flask, Ruby on Rails) Experience with container and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes A personal connection to improving hearing health
