Marie, while working at UBS, noticed this need through her personal experience. Proactively reaching out, she scheduled lunches with various company employees, and eventually ended up having lunch with the CEO. Along the way, she met many people who wanted to be more connected but found it difficult to do so. This is how the idea for this app was born.

Workwell is a mobile app and integrates with third-party services thanks to an SDK and it’s as social as it can be: For instance, you can have lunch with a colleague, find a ride-sharing partner, get a map of the office, book a meeting room, control the AC and more.

We work with large companies and real estate companies like Danone, BNP Paribas, Allianz and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield.

Engineering team and processes

Feature teams are created to implement the roadmap. A typical feature team will include at least one member of the business team, one member of the customer success team and one member of the tech team. Everyone is involved and can take the lead on a feature by becoming the owner. We use pull requests to conduct code reviews. Every 3 weeks, we do demos of the features we shipped to the whole team.

Technical Challenges

We are building a highly reliable and secure server that is able to deal with thousands of users concurrently who use Workwell on a daily basis to access all their services at work.

  • You would get to design and implement a secure and flexible user management system that would allow users to seamlessly access services in various contexts: at work, at home, in their neighborhood and more, while keeping all data properly segmented and safe.
