Key Responsibilities: Consider cost / benefit trade offs when designing engineering solutions; Key player in product spec review sessions and tech design reviews; Design and implement new services, integrations and APIs powering the Zipongo application; Routinely check logs, dashboards, etc. and identifies problems / potential problems / shortcomings, and proactively provide solutions; Carries out in depth code reviews; Contributes to best practices; help ensure best practices are put to use by the team; Key leader in retrospectives and drives action items / changes forward

Requirements: Front-end / full stack experience leveraging React, or other similar frameworks; Expert JavaScript in a NodeJS / back-end context, including knowledge of a broad set of npm modules, or expert working knowledge of a similar interpreted dynamic language such as Python, Ruby and willing to focus development in a JavaScript context; REST API design and implementation; Strong command of MySQL; Experience developing functionality using AWS services such as: Lambda, SQS, S3, SNS; Exposure to Docker and working with applications to run in a container orchestration environment; Good track record of working in a culture of collaboration and execution; BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field
