What do we do?

We're reinventing email by making it easier to use for teams who share an inbox. Email began life as a tool for individuals to manage their personal communication. Over time it's become used by teams to handle all external communication. The email clients haven't kept up with this change, Front is the email client used by teams to share their inbox (e.g. sales@ or support@ address) and collaborate easily with each other.

Technical challenges

1) We're building a client that works equally well across web, desktop and mobile. We have dedicated applications for each platform, which creates more technical complexity than your average startup.

2) Front is a product used by team members daily as a crucial part of their workflow. This creates a lot of product and users challenges, as even a small tweak to our UI could have a big impact on the daily routine and happiness of our users.
