Our team is distributed (with "work-cation" offsites where we travel to see each other) and our culture is high trust and high performance. Get to know our code, process and community via If you like what you see, make a pull request to start a conversation.

Why join us?

Mattermost fits you well if you enjoy:
- Creating world-class software, open source software, where your work speaks for itself
- Operating with the focus, speed and high standards of YC companies
- Building within the clarity, comfort and freedom of high functioning distributed teams

We're in the early days of a new platform and seeking senior full-stack developers to work in a distributed agile process, rotating in and out of ownership areas spanning front-end and back-end. Ideal candidates are naturally drawn to building across multiple systems in end-to-end applications, reading and writing clean code, and ramping quickly into new technologies.

Founders are deeply experienced in business software (engineering managers from Microsoft Office) and machine intelligence (EIR at Stanford Research Institute), and raised multi-million dollar funding rounds at previous companies.

Technical challenges
