What do we do?

Changing the way cancer is treated is our personal mission, which starts with putting patients first. We’re developing a personalized testing service for cancer patients that prioritizes combinations of FDA-approved treatments that can be immediately prescribed by a doctor without a clinical trial. By repositioning treatment as a patient-centered service we can apply the power of modern data science and laboratory technology to achieve the promise of combination therapy and personalized medicine.

Technical challenges

1) There is a lot of ground left to cover in this field. We're building up a novel data set by applying machine learning to classify cancer cells, this is a hard problem.

2) We're building software to power our lab and make its processes as automated and efficient as possible.

Why join us?

1) We work with patients who literally have no options left. We've found treatments that have been able to put patients into remission who would otherwise have died. This is tremendously rewarding to work on and is a very personal mission for us. We founded the company after the father of our co-founder was diagnosed with brain cancer.

2) The drug development process today is optimized for success at the population level. Drug companies are looking for blockbuster drugs that work for most people because that's the only outcome their cost of developments warrants. This is a particularly bad model for developing cancer treatments because individuals respond very differently to treatments. We need to build a process for personalized drug treatments and that's what we're doing.

3) We're able to get around the lengthly FDA approval process for new treatments by only working with drugs that are already FDA approved. Our innovation is in using technology to figure out which will be the most effective combination of drugs to treatment a specific patient.
